A semester exchange program at an elite university in France. Networked with students from various university systems and nationalities. Adapted to French university and social system. Mediated challenging communication barriers in academic and social settings. Developed general knowledge on history of Middle East and North African regions and their politics. Expounded comprehension of the complexity of the European refugee crisis from an internal French perspective. Courses completed in French and English. 

 

L’Institut d’Avignon with Bryn Mawr College, Avignon, France

June 2016 - August 2016

A six-week program which occurred during the Festival d’Avignon, one of the largest gatherings and displays of cultural production on the European continent. An experience that combined excursions of historical sites dating from antiquity to the modern period with analysis of cultural production and current events. Courses completed in French.
